Sweets – Pastries and Custom Cakes by Kebrina Lee

Kebrina Lee, a Kosciusko resident, started Sweets in 2019, but her interest in baking started at a young age. “It started when I was younger, I was always in the kitchen with my grandmother watching her bake, and I began to take a liking to it,” said Lee. Although Lee had developed a passion for baking, it was not what she initially intended to pursue as a career. She first planned to enter the medical field, but her husband encouraged her to pursue her love of baking, because he wanted her to have a career she would truly enjoy. With his encouragement, she entered school at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, where she graduated at the top of her class. She is now a professional pastry chef and offers cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cinnamon rolls, cheesecakes, and other treats such as cheesecake salads. In addition to her baking skills, she gets to exercise her creativity through creating custom cakes.

Lee has found being a professional pastry chef to be rewarding work, and one of her favorite aspects is receiving customer feedback and reviews, especially in regards to custom cakes for children’s birthdays. She particularly enjoys seeing photos of the children’s reactions to her work. “I just love seeing the pictures of the kids seeing their cake, and they’re just in awe that their dream came true. Something they envisioned came to life in cake form. That makes me happy and makes me feel like what I’m doing is worth it,” said Lee. Her custom cake work includes three-dimensional cakes. Lee is located in Kosciusko but offers delivery for an additional fee.
